Roma Sur feels considerably more laid-back to me than La Condesa or Roma Norte. There are smaller, more typical restaurants and cafes here, and fewer foreigners. But it’s very charming in its own right, and just a quick walk if you want to get to more of the action.
Ramón López Velarde Garden
This is an excellent park with lots of trees and paths, a very good calisthenics area, and weekend markets. I walked here every day while I stayed in Roma Sur.
Windows of Roma
This is a nice neighborhood to wander, and I like the unique style of many of the buildings. Much of it is in a similar vein to the house in the movie Roma, which was filmed here.
