We spent 4 nights at Hotel Amomoxtli, a great hotel spa in a beautiful setting. The grounds are lush and well-manicured, but not super extensive. The spa has a nice jacuzzi and sauna. The pool area is excellent and never felt overcrowded. The rooms were nice and comfy, although missing a fridge, and the light switches were a bit perplexing.
Food and service at Amomoxtli ranged from satisfactory to great (shout out to Edgardo). We enjoyed the included breakfast at the restaurant each morning, but only went to the restaurant for dinner once and ordered room service the other nights. The other guests were a mix of Mexicans and a large contingent of Americans and Brits there for a wedding.
It ran about 80 pesos ($4) to get from our hotel to the middle of town by taxi, which took about 10 minutes due to the condition of the streets.
Overall our stay here was very nice, but a bit overpriced I would say.
