KUHL Renegade shorts are durable and made for being active. They are also styled well and don’t look like cargo shorts while still having several pockets. You can get waist sizes in increments of 1″, and there are 3 different lengths and a bunch of colors. They’re a bit on the pricey side, but worth it.
A couple of years ago I tried my first pair and was instantly sold. I like the Pewter color in a 12″ inseam since I’m tall. My sunglasses go in the long side pocket on the left, my earbuds in the one on the right, and my phone in the back left. I use one of the zippered pockets now and then for my passport when I’m moving between places, or for cash that I pull out of an ATM.
The only issue I’ve had with these is the back pocket where I put my phone. The velcro starts to wear out and come apart after a while. That takes quite a bit of time and use though. Kuhl shorts are really well made.
